Students will explore the specialized methods used in the tailoring of fine suits and custom pieces. They will learn about traditional and contemporary techniques including the use of fusible and non-fusible interfacings, linings and underlinings, single and double welt pockets, pad-stitching, two-piece mitred sleeves and notched collars. Following a commercial pattern, students will construct a fully-lined women's tailored jacket.
